The market rejected another news-driven rally and more sectors are springing leaks. The bear market is still with us. If there is some event that causes a surge in buying intensity - a 90%-up day - then we can think the market did indeed wash out this week. But unless that happens, the trend is down and the better strategy is capital preservation.

Today's prime example was posted on their website, in a release called "Jack Layton insults troops". Yeah, classy stuff.
