iW NEWS | Filmax Goes with "Paraiso Travel"

Filmax has acquired international sales rights and Spanish theatrical rights to Simon Brand's "Paraiso Travel." Screening as a North American premiere at the Tribeca FIlm Festival, Filmax will have the title in the Cannes Market next month. CAA is handling North American rights. In data released Monday by the Audit Bureau of Circulations, the NY Daily News was once again the fifth-largest daily newspaper in the country for the six-month period ending March 31, 2008.
Civic trends? Berkeley was probably the pioneer.

Many ideas spawned in Berkeley - and roundly mocked by the rest of the country - have taken root and have been adopted by cities everywhere. Among them: police radios, a ban on Styrofoam, health benefits for domestic partners and a switch to biodiesel for city cars.

Oh darn…. Just when the women were having all of the fun! Well we all knew it wouldn’t have been long until the boys came back swinging! And next month they will be swinging out with three pairs of Terminator High Quickstrike sneakers. The colors chosen for this collection represent the five Olympic rings which represent the five continents….but hold up….two more colors are obviously missing! There has been no word on what day these will be released…but I’ll keep you guys updated. Hmmm….ladi

Data centers use air conditioning to cool server rooms and the furnaces of a steel plant are vented after melting the metal. It seemed like it would never happen, but the impossible has occurred: Apple’s iPhone is coming to Canada. The news was quietly slipped into telecom giant Rogers’ latest earnings report, with the simple statement that the company was “thrilled to announce” a “deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year.” Apparently
